ABOUT THE LOOK
DRESS: Ann Taylor “Little Black Dress”
JACKET: A Fall 2010 creation of Project Runway designer Althea Harper. Fitted black blazer with stunning leather detailing. Perfect for fall with the accentuated shoulders, textured black fabrication and perfectly tailored fit. Visit www.AltheaHarper.com to get one for yourself.
MESSENGER BAG: Chesnut brown medium leather satchel from Saddleback Leather. Love this bag and love the company. The people behind this brand are brilliant, they’ve created a great looking, quality product with a loyal following and truly the only downside to bringing one of their cool bags home is that everyone will fight over it. I think everyone in my family has taken a turn carrying this cool satchel. Beyond the cool products, the founder and staff at Saddleback and just “good” people, they care about their customers, they care about their employees and they care about making the world a better place and they do their part by continually giving back.
SCARF: Donni Charm lightweight, heather grey, cotton jersey continuous wrap scarf. With grey holding the title as the “hot color for Fall 2010” and casual layered scarves headlining as a major trend the only thing that makes this scarf even better is the inspirational story behind the company Donni Charm and their ongoing support for the MS community with the “Orange you happy to erase MS” campaign.
EARRINGS: Custom silver and crystal design by Sue Yang of Elli Grace.
BRACELET: Vintage silver jeweled Chanel Cuff
CLUTCH: Smooth Black Leather, zippered fold-over clutch with chain detailing from Henri Bendel.
SHOES: Black leather cut-out booties by No. 704b. A recent score from DSW.
Happy One Year Anniversary to The “Little Black Dress Experiment”!!!
Three-hundred-sixty-five days later and here we are celebrating the one year anniversary of a crazy idea— turned amazing journey— now known worldwide as the “Little Black Dress Experiment.” I had so much fun with LBDE [and found others did too] that I extended an invitation to bloggers from around the country to participate in this year’s experiment and show us their styles so they and their followers could share in the fun and excitement.
What this means for you? For the next 31 days we’ll be sharing the pages of our blog with 31 bloggers who’ll in turn be sharing their thoughts on trends, tips and how they styled their LBD for Fall, with you. We hope you will welcome them with open arms and we encourage you to subscribe to their blogs, follow them on Twitter, Fan them on Facebook and discover all the reasons why we invited them to be a part of our blog family.
Check out Part II of today’s blog and be sure to follow along for the next 31 days and find out more about our sponsors, bloggers and the Society Stylist Team, to see who all is behind this incredible collaboration.
