Society Stylist’s “Little Black Dress Experiment” Tours America
Posted on | July 23, 2010
31 Bloggers, One Little Black Dress….how will they style it??? And how you will you style yours???
Nearly a year ago I embarked on a crazy journey that came to be known as “The Little Black Dress Experiment.” For 31 days I wore the same dress, styling it differently each day; blogging about how I styled it and the pieces I used. The purpose was to illustrate how you can style the accessories you already own in an endless combinations of ways to expand your wardrobe, using the staple pieces in your wardrobe— such as the timeless Little Black Dress— as the canvas for the unique looks you create each day.
Throughout the “experiment” I often was asked if anyone could do what I was doing and people mentioned they’d love to see how other fashionistas would style their LBD. So this year, in honor of the one year anniversary of “The Little Black Dress Experiment” we have reached out to 31 bloggers and style icons across the nation to see how they would style their Little Black Dress. We hope you will join us throughout the month of August as Society Stylist’s “Little Black Dress Experiment” Tours America and stops in major cities and small towns all across this amazing country to see how these 31 fashionable women will style their Little Black Dress.
Each blogger will be given an Ann Taylor Little Black Dress and will be asked to show us how she would style her LBD for Fall. As summer comes to an end we are all searching, for new looks to wear for the Fall. During next month’s “tour” you will have the opportunity to check out 31 looks from stylish bloggers across America and use these great looks as inspiration for the looks you’ll create this Fall with your own LBD.
Followers of Society Stylist’s “Little Black Dress Experiment” Tours America are encouraged to be a part of the tour themselves. To participate, followers can photograph themselves with the downloadable “Little Black Dress Experiment” Tours America Logo Sign in their town, in their own styled little black dress and post it on the blog (www.SocietyStylist.com) with their styling tips. On September 1 at 12 Noon, a winner will be selected by random drawing from all follower posts. The winner will receive an exciting prize package from the tour sponsors: Ann Taylor, Saddleback Leather, Heely’s, Donni Charm, Spanx, Hard Night Good Morning and MICHELE Watches. More information will be available beginning August 1, 2010.
We hope you will follow along and spread the word to your friends, family and followers to visit our site and the blogger sites during and after the campaign and of course, submit your own Little Black Dress look.
xoxo-
Valerie Elizabeth

Hi – What a great idea – I can’t wait to see all 31 different takes on the same dress. One thing – it would be FANTASTIC if your list of participants included links to their blogs. Make it much easier for us newbies to find them!
Thanks bunches!

The most important thing i think when cooking food is to make sure you have excellent pans. It’s well worth spending more to have good suacepans and knives.
