Haley Schultheis- Nonsense & Sensibility
PHOTO LOCATION: Dallas, Texas (Westlake Solana Complex)
I’m Haley Schultheis of Nonsense & Sensibility and I’m a style and society writer living in Dallas, Texas. Because, of course, I can’t do something quite like everyone else, I couldn’t see myself standing in front of an ordinary landmark for my photograph. No, I most always opt for the extraordinary, so I took a trip out to this beautiful complex close to the DFW International Airport for my little black dress photographs. The Solana compound is a gorgeous award-winning complex by Mexican architect Ricardo Legorreta with waterfalls, lush landscaping, vivid colors, and the bold contemporary look for which Dallas is known. Please visit my blog for lots more nonsense (and sensibility of course)!
For fall, I was feeling inspired to layer a lot of luxe gold vintage jewelry as I knew it would surely make a statement paired with the Little Black Dress. I piled on necklaces from Dallas’ very own Judy Aldridge of Atlantis Home from the Atlantis Dry Goods Collection. The best part is, the look is refined enough to go from day-to-night and I wouldn’t hesitate to wear this mélange of accessories to work. Paired with my Yves Saint Laurent patent leather Tribute pumps, I’m confident I would attend my daily meetings in style. And, with a pop of Tom Ford Beauty’s Pure Pink lipstick, a last minute dinner with friends would not pose a problem.
Hope you enjoy my take on the dress, classic with a twist of vintage glam. I can’t wait to see all of the other looks.

BLOGGER BIO: This Dallas-based writer grew up with a love and admiration for style, the spotlight, and changing clothes on a whim. After a stage of refusing to wear anything but a tulle and taffeta polka dot dress, Haley went on to be scolded for carrying her mother’s VOGUE in her backpack at age ten. She is an avid reader and enjoys fashion, museums, socializing, décor, and of course, her Bichon Frise, Plum. In addition to graduating from DePauw University with a BA in English Writing and a minor in Art History, Haley has completed a mélange of internships and coursework to further her dream of writing for a luxury publication. After completing classes in Design and Management at Parsons School of Design, she went on to intern at Donna Karan Corporate in Visual Merchandising. Adding to her design industry qualifications, Haley studied the history of Italian fashion abroad in Florence, Italy. Coffee almost always in hand (Italian, please), staying current with the Dallas social scene certainly keeps her in high heels, but thoroughly entranced by a full social schedule and vibrant agenda, Haley wouldn’t have it any other way.
