Dieting? But Are You Wearing the Right Clothes?
To so many of us, we can’t seem to pass a mirror without thinking of those 10 pounds that we want to drop. Sometimes those dieting thoughts can impair how we really see our fabulous selves. Every January we are all about the “D” word since we have often indulged in too many yummy cookies and cocktails during the holidays. And ever since the books, French Women Don’t Get Fat, and The Karl Lagerfeld Diet hit shelves we have really wanted to know the secret to weight loss because many of us equate skinny with pretty. Not always true. You ARE fabulous, right now. The secret is to find the magic in making yourself look amazing without dieting or while we’re in the process of shedding those few extra pounds. What shapes and styles you select for your wardrobe can significantly affect how your body appears and often the wrong outfit can add 10, 20 or more pounds to how you look. Shocked? DAILY FASHION TIPS:
1) Skip the bulk – get rid of that oversized outfit and wear clothes that fit your shape! You’ll look more true to your size instead of 2 sizes larger.
2) Spanx a lot! Use form flattering foundation garments to help hide those imperfections and smooth everything out!
3) Hair we go! Pull your hair off your face with a glittery clip or cute headband! You’ll be surprised at how much thinner your face will appear.
4) Pass on the pleats! Flat front pants will take pounds off of your waist-line and slenderize you, whereas those pleats will only add pounds. Who wants that?
5) Flaunt your favorites! Do you have awesome arms? Go for those sleeveless shirts. Fabulous feet? Make sure to rock those peep toed shoes. Accentuate the positive, girl.
