It’s Hard to Look Sexy When Your Feet Hurt

Posted on | November 28, 2011

“It’s hard to look sexy when your feet hurt.” Holly Dunlap- founder of Hollywould Shoes- based the design of her entire line on the concept of sexy and comfortable and then stamped that quote on the sole of each shoe. Though I treasure the Hollywould shoes I have in my archive, sadly Hollywould is no longer in business. Now for those long days at work or late nights out we must resort to the comfort of cushion inserts and heel pads.

Cushion the balls of your feet, use heel grippers on the back of your shoes and you’ll see what a lifesaver they can be.  No more sliding feet forward in your shoes and no more pain in every step. These are genius. Shoes feel better, fit better and help make you feel sexy, every step you take!

Could shoe pad cushions or heel grippers have helped you survive a fashion styling emergency? You’ll find the both products in the SOCIETY STYLIST® Survival Kit: VIP Trunk. We’d love to hear how these products could’ve helped you survive your fashion styling emergency.

Do You Need A Mint?

Posted on | November 27, 2011

Ever been gracefully been offered a mint?  We know what that means; bad breath. Let’s avoid these awkward moments by keeping a few “always kissable” beauty survival items at the ready. A travel toothbrush/toothpaste set is compact and convenient. Great for when you return to work after a tasty lunch out. They can be left in your desk drawer for quick cleanings.  Not near a sink?  With liquid breath freshener drops or a swig of Scope can work wonders. Just a quick blast in your mouth for a fresh breath booster!

Lastly, with winter upon us, dry lips are an ongoing battle. Remember, chapped lips are neither kissable nor sexy.  Keep your favorite lip balm everywhere you find yourself often.  Have one in your car, your purse or briefcase, your desk at work, the kitchen…you may need to moisten them throughout the day so having  few handy really makes that easier. With fresh breath and soft lips, you’ll always be kissable.

Could a travel toothbrush/toothpaste, liquid breath freshener, or lip balm have helped you survive a fashion styling emergency? You’ll find each of these products in the SOCIETY STYLIST® Survival Kit: On-The-Go Bag. We’d love to hear how these products could’ve helped you survive your fashion styling emergency.

Sometimes You Can Wipe Away The Past

Posted on | November 26, 2011

Sometimes shine is a good thing. Sometimes it’s not. Shiny jewelry? Good. We definitely want our jewelry to shine and it’s easy to do with silver polishing cloths. These cloths are fast, convenient and bring out the bling. Shiny face. Not so good. We want to keep the shine off our faces. Though we may joke about how ladies “glisten” the truth is a sweaty face is never in style.

Make-up blotting tissues are a great solution to make sure your face is smooth and matte (read: not shiny.) Don’t have make-up blotting tissues? The pocket tissue is a great staple for touch-ups in general.  Whether you need to wipe away a tear from a bad day or to fix a lipstick malfunction, Pocket Tissue should always be in your fashion survival kit.

Could Pocket Tissue, Make-Up Blotting Tissues, or Silver Polishing Cloths have helped you survive a fashion styling emergency? You’ll find one or more of them in each of the SOCIETY STYLIST® Survival Kits. We’d love to hear how these products could’ve helped you survive your fashion styling emergency.

The Perfect Gift For Cindy Mancini

Posted on | November 25, 2011

Who can forget the scene in Can’t Buy Me Love when some careless soul spilled red wine on Cindy Mancini’s ivory suede outfit? Well technically it was her mother’s ivory suede suit, which created a bit of a problem. What a predicament she was in. If only she had Wine-Out Red Wine Remover to help her in her dire fashion emergency.

With Wine-Out Red Wine Remover you simply spray the remover on the wine stain and watch it disappear right before your eyes. No matter where the wine is spilled, this product does its job removing it.  Best part?  It is so small that you can keep one in your purse, the car, anywhere.

Could Wine-Out Red Wine Remover have helped you survive a fashion styling emergency? You’ll find it in the SOCIETY STYLIST® Survival Kit: VIP Trunk. We’d love to hear how Wine-Out could’ve helped you survive your fashion styling emergency.

A Whole Different Type of Fur Faux-Pas

Posted on | November 23, 2011

Is there anything worse than taking time to get ready for a night out to only show up at your destination covered in your pet’s fur?  Fuzzies?  Lint? If you’re going to wear fur, go for it. Just make sure it isn’t your pet’s fur on your favorite black cashmere sweater. Major fashion styling fax-paus. Solution:  Keep a lint roller handy.   We suggest keeping a full size at home and a travel size one with you in your purse, briefcase, the car, or at the office. The perforated sheets has a one piece handle and removes lint in a flash with the high-tack adhesive.  When you run out of sheets, just pop in a new refill roll and keep your look crisp and clean.

Could the Lint Roller have helped you survive a fashion styling emergency? You’ll find a lint roller in each of the SOCIETY STYLIST® Survival Kits. We’d love to hear how these products could’ve helped you survive your fashion styling emergency.
