Okay so maybe I am just a scaredy-cat but no matter how much I love the look of full lips I can’t bring myself to get lip injections. The fear likely is more based in how many terrible injection jobs I’ve seen. Not that they are all bad so don’t go getting your feelings hurt. Just the number of bad ones you notice vs good ones is substantial…I think because if they were good you wouldn’t notice, right?

How many of us walk past an Aveda, Kiehl’s or L’Occitane store and slow down our pace to check out the pretty, colorful bottles filled with new lotions, the new aromatherapy items, the fabulous new brushes and the loofas. Are you hooked on bath and body products? What’s not to love? They smell amazing, they have fantastic promises to reduce wrinkles and they come in cool packages. It’s truly hard to resist.

Don’t we all just love those commercials for Neutrogena? We love the fresh faced girls that show off their clear skin and radiant glow. They even look amazing when as they wash their face in the commercial! Though Neutrogena has some great products, who looks like that when they wash their face? Really?!?

BEAUTY: No More Bad Hair days

Really it is surprising how much of our day is based on how our morning goes. Do we find an outfit we love? Does our hair do what it is supposed to? Nothing can make us crabbier than having a bad hair day. Even if we receive good news, if we are having a bad hair day sometimes nothing lifts our spirits. Sometimes it feels as if our blood pressure goes up when we catch a glimpse of ourselves in the mirror and discover that our hair is misbehaving? So what do we do? How can we banish these bad hair days once and for all? Since it is impossible to entirely control your hair or the weather, the number one thing to do is be prepared for said “bad hair days.”

Some women obsess on shoes or handbags, some lingerie or bath products and some on make-up. But I’ve found that almost every woman has at least a small obsession with lip products. Admit it do you obsess on lip gloss? Do you own more than one at a time? More than ten? Twenty? Although we adore all of the mentioned items [shoes, handbags, lingerie, bath products] lipstick, lip liner and especially lip gloss, really are life long addictions. Want to know why. Mary Kay founded her company on the concept that even in hard times women would still buy lipstick and I have found that to be true. With the long winter seen round the globe this year, many of us are still debating if we should break out the flip flops or resign ourselves to a summer in tights. Even with the repeated cold fronts coming through I can assure you (and no I don’t have a background as a meteorologist) that summer will come. Maybe Spring will be skipped entirely but ultimately summer will arrive. When that day comes you will need to shed the tights, pants and other leg coverings. I know this may sound scary since you’ve seen the state of your skin recently but I’m going to gently remind you of the number one magical trick that will make your skin summer ready.
