Shake it Like a Polaroid Picture
Posted on | April 21, 2011
Launching in June the Polaroid Grey Label GL10 is the perfect gift for your favorite graduate. Especially one who is off to college. Can you imagine the fun they can have in their dorm room or sorority house with this little magic machine. The GL10 truly is the next generation in technology. Who would have thought “Polaroid” and “next generation in technology” would ever again be in the same sentence?
The first product in Lady Gaga’s line with Polaroid, this portable printer is the ultimate in instant gratification and perfect for all of you photo hounds out there. I love that Polaroid is saying it “frees digital images trapped on hard drives and cell phones.” I currently have 6,360 pictures on my iPhone. I don’t think a single one has been printed. I really NEED to “free my pictures.”
The printer weighs just 15 ounces and can connect to your phone via blue tooth or your camera, Mac or PC via USB. It does not use ink cartridges or ribbon all the technology to print it is in the special paper you print on.
Priced at $169.99 this little technology tool is sleek, stylish and seriously amazing!!! Pre-order yours on the Polaroid website.
Check-out Your Kindle Books at the Library?
Posted on | April 20, 2011
Earlier this year I wrote about how I LOVE my new Kindle. It has been an excellent resource for keeping up with the ever-changing publications I regularly review. What finally convinced me to buy it was the option to have the books read to you (text-to-talk) which after a day of staring at a computer screen is often a nice feature. My least favorite thing was not being able to share my books, which I’ve always done.
Well they haven’t totally corrected that but they have come up with a new feature where you can check-out more than 11,000 Kindle books from your local library. Read more
Worth It’s Weight

The last few years I have often felt as though I was living out of a suitcase. Being on the road nearly half the year, packing, unpacking, checking-in, the whole process almost is just a blur. Except for one bright alarming moment that I cringe at, every time. When the airline clerk asks me to put my bag on the scale. It’s like bright red warning bells are going off everywhere and I am hoping she won’t notice if it passes the 50lbs mark. I mean really in the scheme of things what’s the difference between 50 and 90lbs between friends.

Couture Caviar the Ultimate in Home Style

I LOVE Caviar. Seriously. I think I could eat it by the scoop. Actually, I have eaten it by the scoop. But not all caviar, actually is caviar. I mean there are caviar Chanel bags and in this case there is Couture Caviar, fabulous vintage inspired aprons by Dallas’ own Lisa Garza.
Foodie Friday: Washing Away the Scent of Garlic
Posted on | April 15, 2011
Any true foodie cooks with garlic. While the scent of roasted garlic wafting down the hall as dinner is being prepared may strike you as pleasant the thought of garlic scented fingertips the next day at work, likely does not. I have a family recipe for garlic potatoes I often make because it is both easy and good.
What if YOUR House Burned Down???

UPDATE: Items in ORANGE could still use some more but have received some. Items in GREEN are done. Items in RED are still needed. Thank you all for your help!!!
Using technology to help others. Sunday night the home of some of my family friend’s burned to the ground. What would you do if this happened to you? Would you be prepared? This was certainly a shocking reminder to me to have an emergency plan in place, to have copies of important documents in a secure location, to back up files and pictures remotely and most importantly have a solid insurance policy. Luckily all five roommates were able to escape safely. Sadly they lost everything but the clothes they were wearing at the time.
Though often my blog is an outlet for fun, fashion and entertainment I believe it is important to use the resources we have to help those in need. Last night I asked that the group to make a list of their most immediate needs, Read more
If You Know What’s Good For You

I, admittedly, am not a music junkie but if you scrolled through my iTunes playlist you could learn a lot about me. I, like most people, associate the songs I listen to to a specific memory or a time in my life that I’m reminded of when I hear the familiar tune. Some songs are for sad days, some are for happy days, some are “getting ready to go out” songs and many for me are “energy” songs. These are the very upbeat songs that I listen to while on the elliptical. The ones that get me going in the morning and start my day off on a high note.
