A craze that started when Chanel models walked the runway this past Spring, sporting the then unreleased Jade nail polish, the green nail polish trend has spread across all brand and all ages in a movement that has certainly hit it’s tipping point.
The Soho Chanel boutique was one of the first to receive the precious polish, receiving an early shipment for their Fashion’s Night Out event during New York’s Fashion Week. Read more

Watch as fashion icon, Kelly Cutrone of People’s Revolution and StyleList host, Melissa Foss critique the first eight looks in the Week 1 challenge for Bluefly.com and StyleList.com’ America’s Most Stylish Blogger. Whew!!! I somehow stayed off Kelly Cutrone’s chopping block. What a HUGE compliment she gives me in her review of my look and in the wrap up. Their review of my styling is at about the 5 minute mark. AMERICA’S MOST STYLISH BLOGGER: OFFICIAL WEEK 1 ENTRY
Standing in the mailroom, I excitedly tore open the package from BlueFly.com. What I found made me giggle!!! The navy blue Priorities “Boyfriend Vest” was the perfect illustration of my entire styling philosophy. I believe that by buying quality pieces, with classic styling, you can work them into your wardrobe not only this season but for years to come. This August, I demonstrated this with “The Little Black Dress Experiment,” where I styled the same little black dress differently for thirty-one days.
Timeless “Boyfriend Vest,” styled for a modern day Jackie O. Classic style appropriate for any age & easy to create from your own wardrobe.
Why was I giggling? Well, I owned a nearly identical vest, in 1994. I didn’t call it a “Boyfriend Vest” though. I called it “part of my interview suit.” Read more

So I recently was interviewed for a Halloween Costume Segment on ABC’s “Beauty on a Budget.” My challenge was to present predictions for hot costumes for Halloween 2009 and educate viewers on how to put together a Halloween costume for little to no money. This was a fun and educational assignment.
The most important thing I find in a costume is, that people can recognize who or what you are impersonating. With enough money and costume designers you can create a costume with elements so realistic being recognized is a no-brainer. However for the purpose of this segment my goal was to educate people on how to create a costume for little to no money, a trend that will be very popular this year. Read more

SPANX: Tights for Tall, Taller & Tallest Girls
Years ago I worked with a petite choreographer who refused to label anyone as “short” and thus would divide girls into three groups: tall, taller and tallest. I was always in the “tallest” group. I was reminded of my place in the “tallest” group most recently when I resumed my search for tights that fit.
